Principal Changes of the June 17, 2014 Release

Note: These release notes may not reflect current Everlaw functionality, as product updates may have changed certain features since these notes were published. Please refer to our Knowledge Base for support articles on current functionality.

We'll be attending LegalTech West (Booth 210); if you're there, stop by and say hi!

1. Quick Document Previews

Sometimes, you want to take a peek at a document without having to open up the review interface. We've added a document preview function that lets you flip through document pages, and view metadata and notes, all from the current screen. Of course, you can jump to review the document with a single click as well.

Normal keyboard shortcuts (left and right arrows for page navigation, 'j' to jump to a particular page, 'n' to toggle the notes panel, and 'm' to toggle the metadata dropdown) still work.

The document preview is integrated into StoryBuilder, for easy access to documents while you're writing a brief or preparing for a deposition; the Messages page, for when you receive a document as an attachment to a message; and the Results Table, via the (• • •) button on the right-hand side of every row.

2. Persistent Hit Highlighting

Hot on the heels of our hit highlighting release, we now allow admins to set particular terms to be permanently highlighted across all documents in the Review Window's text view

Admins can also add persistent terms via the "Review" tab in the admin screen.

3. View By Information in the Review Window

You can now quickly see who else has already viewed the documents you're on via the status bar. If you're the first person to view a document, the Viewed By card will not appear.
