Principal Changes of the April 12, 2013 Release

Note: These release notes may not reflect current Everlaw functionality, as product updates may have changed certain features since these notes were published. Please refer to our Knowledge Base for support articles on current functionality.

This release adds messaging and sharing capabilities, as well as an automated review assignment feature for administrators.

1. Messaging

You can now message other users on your case from within Everlaw. It's a great way to discuss or organize review. Messages are accessed via a new item in the top menu bar.

Messages are fully searchable. You can also elect, via the preferences dialog, to receive an email when someone sends you a message.

You can also send messages to Everlaw—from feedback to support requests, we want to make it easier to get in touch with us (and of course, we'll always be reachable by e-mail).

2. Sharing

We've improved sharing capabilities to go along with messaging. You can now share tags, documents, and search results. Look for the icon.

To view items that have been shared with you in the past, look for their icons in your message inbox.

3. Assign Results for Review

If you are an administrator, you can now automatically assign search results to reviewers via the Assign to Users tab in the Export dialog.

Say you've performed a search that's yielded 10,000 documents. Simply give the review a name, select the set of users you want to assign them to, and the batch size (or 0 to split them equally among all your selected users). The system will split the 10,000 documents into tags of the specified size, and share the tags with each of your recipients via the messaging system.
