Multi-production privilege logs allow your team to generate logs spanning multiple productions from a single location and in a single action. This is particularly useful for rolling productions, as it saves significant time by eliminating the need to individually compile logs. Once generated, you can directly share and download logs from the multi-production privilege log card.
This article covers how multi-production privilege logs work and how to view, create, edit, and share them.
Requirements
To use this feature, you must be an Organization Admin, Project Admin, or have Admin permissions for productions.
How multi-production privilege logs work
Multi-production privilege logs are generated based on a combination of two or more existing productions (sources) coupled with a customizable log configuration.
Any existing production protocol or multi-production privilege log can be used as a base privilege log configuration for a new multi-production privilege log.
When a new multi-production privilege log is created, its results are generated from the documents in the underlying productions, not from productions’ existing privilege logs.
If changes are made to any one of a log’s source productions, the log is automatically updated to reflect the changes made to the source productions, and a notification banner appears on the log’s card to notify the user that the log was updated. You can view the log history to understand the changes. The notification disappears once the log has been downloaded or shared.
Access your project’s multi-production privilege logs
Multi-production privilege logs are accessed and created from the Data Transfer > Productions > Multi-production privilege log page.
Each privilege log is represented on the page with its own card and lists the total documents included, privileged, and redacted.
From the card, you can:
- Share or download the log
- View its access history
- View the log’s history
- View source productions
- View/edit its configuration
- Add a description
- Delete the log

Selected logs appear in a list to the right. Here they can be reordered or removed.
You can also clear the list by selecting Clear all or use Everlaw’s defaults by selecting Use Everlaw defaults. - When ready, select Create.
The dialog closes, and a card for the new log appears on the page.
