When you begin a new case subscription contract with Everlaw, you receive an email with a link to set up your new database.
The link is valid for 60 days and is unique to both the email address and the contract that requested it. The link cannot be used by another Everlaw account.
Users who are connected to multiple case subscriptions can identify which case a link is intended for from the database name in both the subject line and body of the email.
Select the link in the email to get started.
If you do not already have an Everlaw account, you will be asked to create an account following the steps listed in our Create an Everlaw Account and Get Started article.
If you already have an account (or once you've created your account) you are taken to a brief form that gives Everlaw the information to set up your project.
To complete this form:
- To name your project, enter a name in the Project name field.
- [Optional, if you already have an Everlaw account and have Project Administrator and Database Administrator access to other databases] Select any existing project to use as a template.
- Select the Timezone for your project.
- [Optional] If there are any billing notes that you want the Everlaw team to see, add them into the Billing notes field.
- When you're done, select Create project.
Once the project is created, you are automatically added as a Project Admin and Database Administrator, and you are prompted with some initial options to continue your project set up.
